RAID 1995
The programme of the second Corsica Raid Aventure was to
get to Cape Corse from the Gulf de Porto by traversing the
mountainous ranges in the centre of the island.Competitors
found themselves making the 350 kilometre race by sea kayak,
MTB, canyoning, foot, or even hanging from a rope.
The home team Champion Corse Composites won their second
victory in a row, ahead of two Pyreneese teams.Over seven
days, 20 teams faced the tough Corsican environment, from
heat waves by the sea to morning frosts in the high mountains,
with just a compass and theri internal stopwatch ! A diagonal
trail of pure nature island marvels that make the Corsica
Raid Aventure an authentic challenge, as intense to experience
as to watch.
