CORSICA RAID 2006...

And of three!! Three consecutive victories for the TEAM Expéraids which remains indétrônable with the head of Corsica Raid Ventures. Richard Tassaro and his fellow-members manage with wonder Corsica, even if this year, they a little had fear by feeling too often close on their heels the mountain dwellers of the TEAM Planet Xa Pro, which finishes half an hour behind them.

Expéraids is very strong some is the configuration of Corsica Raid. Last year, the raid proceeded on the snow-covered tops of Corsica with very long sections of race in mountain and this year, the organizers had decided to make pagayer the competitors with a stage of kayak of sea per day.

The caravanne of Corsica Raid remained 3 days in the extreme south of Corsica, around the villages of Pianottoli Caldarello and Monacia d' Aullène. This area has many atoûts with a superb mountainous solid mass and very savage, the Solid mass of Cagna where the competitors lived unforgettable moments with in particular a course of cords of any beauty on very impressive rock pitons (especially with fog!!), and a superb maritime littoral which makes besides party of the Natural Reserve of the Mouths of Bonifacio.

On this Corsica Raid Aventure 2006, the competitors will thus have traversed a few 280 kilometers through the fabulous landscapes that Corsica offers to them. 280 km of the Extreme south of Corsica and the departure given to Pianottoli Caldarello until High-Corsican and the celebrated arrival with San Nicolao di Moriani.

It is thus a year when the kayak of sea will have been with the honor with 5 tests of kayak of sea and some teams little accustomed to this type of boat, much time and energy lost, especially that the sea was not more lenient…

If not, the competitors thus connected during these 5 days of race 5 tests of VTT, 6 tests of trail, 2 descents of canyon, 2 tests of coastering including one night superb with the moon which was reflected in the sea, 2 courses of cords and a route ventures of any beauty in one of the most wild Corsican solid masses, the solid mass of Cagna.

On the whole, it is thus an extraordinary adventure 4 days and 3 nights of race that the teams engaged on this Corsica Raid Aventure 2006 were likely to live.

Appointment thus in 2007 for new Corsica Raid Aventure, always also “Beautiful, Extrême, Unforgeattable”!!
